The food takes longer than they say. The seating is mediocre. But the food... it's so so good. Any small inconvenience is immaterial. The food is excellent. Eat here. Be patient. You will be happy.
Sushi Tokyo serves the freshest Salmon in this area (comparable to many high-end sushi restaurants). I am delighted with my order and plan to be a regular patron.
It's wonderful to have a sushi place in the Loudonville area! We had takeout today for lunch and were thrilled to discover that the sushi is a step above what you'd typically find. The fish was noticeably very fresh and the rolls had excellent texture and nuanced flavors. We'll definitely be back!
Wonderful little place for Japanese (and Chinese) food. It's located in the small plaza across the street from McDonald's and Walgreens on Osborne/Shaker Road corner. If you know where D'Raymonds and price chopper are in Loudonville, this restaurant is very close. I've had various forms of sushi and sashimi, and some cooked Chinese food and of course, miso soup. Food wise, I'd recommend the ribs appetizer if you're into ribs. They're much more homemade than you find at most Chinese food restaurants. I think all of the combination meals come with either soup or salad. I typically prefer sashimi but order of brown rice on the side at no extra cost. Sometimes I don't like a full tray of sushi because of the carbs, and brown rice, taste better than white rice in my humble opinion. Service is great, but, like everywhere else, they could use more servers. Ambience is fine, but make a reservation if you're bringing a large party because the tables are somewhat limited, given the space inside. Local people: there is an ad for some specials in one of the mail coupon books. Ask the manager about it when you arrive, and he could show you. Yes, they serve hot and cold sake, but I'm told that in Japan more people actually prefer it cold. I never ask my buddy Makoto, who still works for Kirin beer after all these years.
